The Yacht Owner's Representative Program enables qualified professionals to apply for the Yacht Owner's Register. The Register was created by the Superyacht Alliance to enhance professional standards and transparency within the industry with its purpose being to connect potential clients with owner's reps.

YORP comprises four Units; Unit 40 is required training for those looking to apply to be listed on the Yacht Owner Representative Professional Register and SLA are currently the only training provider delivering this course in shipyards.

Unit 40

Role and Responsibility Skills

  • Owner Representative Responsibilities & Duties

  • Contractual Roles, Responsibilities & Tasks of the New Build Project Personnel.

  • Relationships, chains of communications, workflows & contractual obligations & compliances between Owner Representative & Project Teams & Personnel.​

  • Effective communication with Owners, UHNW, Management & Corporate level individuals, & the Owner’s & Shipyard teams.
